Reading time: 5 minutes

The company
of today’s interview partner is already a veteran in its industry. Founded in
1909, VOLLMER WERKE Maschinenfabrik GmbH is a globally successful specialist
for tool machining in production and service with a comprehensive range of
machines. The technological leader’s range of products includes the most
advanced grinding, eroding and machining tools for rotary tools and circular
saws in the woodworking and metalworking industries, as well as for
metal-cutting band saws.

Part of this winning strategy is close contact to existing and potential customers. For this reason, VOLLMER welcomed more than 450 guests from all over the world at VDays 2019 to present their products up close and talk about the future of the industry. A LineUpr event app was also used at these VDays.

In this interview, Nicole Skoberla, who as a marketing manager, is also responsible for the VDays, tells us how she individualized the app and what changes and features she wishes for the future. Another great customer story. Really worth reading.

LineUpr: Hello, Nicole. Thank you for taking the time to do this interview. Please introduce yourself and VOLLMER.

Nicole: My name is Nicole Skoberla and I am the Marketing Manager in the field of Online & Magazines at VOLLMER WERKE Maschinenfabrik GmbH. Since our beginning in 1909, VOLLMER has developed into a technology leader for state-of-the-art grinding, eroding, laser and processing machines for rotary tools and circular saws in the wood and metal processing industries as well as for the metal-cutting band saw. The extensive machine program is supplemented by tailor-made service and service offers. We see ourselves as a solution provider to our global customers – including sharpening services, sawmills, toolmakers and manufacturing companies.

LineUpr: You have used an event app from
LineUpr for the VOLLMER VDays. Please tell us more about this event.

Nicole: At our four-day VOLLMER in-house event VDays, we had a total of over 450 participants from all over the world. In addition to lectures, exchange with experts, company tours and virtual reality applications, the visitors could also experience our machines live in the context of product demonstrations. For our guests to be able to put together their individual program based on the variety of offers, we decided to use an event app that we could create and design according to our needs. Our choice was your event app and we got a lot of praise – so much for now!

LineUpr: What strategies and tools do you
use to address your target group? Do you attach special importance to something
in particular?

Nicole: In addition to our website, we also use social media marketing (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube) and email marketing to address our customers optimally. Furthermore, we are also well positioned in the print sector with a large number of product and image brochures and our customer magazine.

LineUpr: Your app also looks very individual. You, for
example, linked your newsletter in the footer and created a menu item for the
current weather information. Why did you do this? And how did you adapt the app
to your corporate design?

Nicole: For us, it was important to have the
opportunity to familiarize our guests with the expertise of VOLLMER and to
identify ourselves externally with the app.

Thanks to
the easy handling of the app in the dashboard, I was able to incorporate our
VOLLMER corporate design with just a few steps and adapt it to our individual
needs. To implement our corporate design, we integrated the color scheme of
VOLLMER in addition to the key visuals of our VDays.

LineUpr: Did you also use the info pages?

Nicole: Yes, exactly. In addition to information on
the various speakers, the agenda, the locations, and the weather, we also
published all the facts that are worth knowing about the event in the “About”
section.

Here we could list the highlights of our event or inform participants about our partner companies. Additionally, in this category, we were able to communicate all organizational issues, such as meeting points, bus transfers, and wi-fi access data.

LineUpr: How did you use the locations in the app?

Nicole: Since we had many guests and therefore had to
send them to many hotels, the location page helped us to list the various
hotels and our evening venue with addresses and contact options. The link to
Google Maps made it much easier for many visitors, especially our foreign ones,
to find their way around.

LineUpr: How would you rate the creation of the event
app with LineUpr? What do you like and what can we improve?

Nicole: The creation was really intuitive, and you
could immediately see the results in the dashboard. Your quick support when we
were stuck was also excellent.

Also, it was practical that you can send notifications via the app. Of course, pop-ups would still be great here.

LineUpr: Did you mention the event app at the beginning
of or during the event?

Nicole: We had already mentioned and linked the app in
the pre-communication as part of the invitation mailing to allow guests the
opportunity to plan their personal VDays before they arrive in Biberach.
On-site, the app was presented as part of the welcome speech and the QR code to
the app was mentioned in the printed agenda and posters.

LineUpr: How did your visitors react to the app?

Nicole: Following our VDays, we obtained feedback from
our guests via a survey tool. The result was that the visitors who used the app
rated it as exceptionally or very helpful.

Also,
during the event, we received positive feedback from the guests as well as from
our colleagues about the app.

LineUpr: The event is over now. Would you use the app
the same way at the next event to communicate with your participants or is
there something that you would change?

Nicole: We plan to use the event app again for our next VDays, because it made our event more digital, more individual and super rounded.

Next time,
we will think about using the survey feature to evaluate our entire VDays.

LineUpr: Thank you for the great interview, Nicole. I’m
always thrilled every time an event organizer takes full advantage of the
features of the event app and makes it their instrument.

You can find much more information about VOLLMER on the internet. And their profiles on LinkedIn and Facebook are also worth a visit.

We are
already looking forward to the next VDays.

The post Event Apps for Industry Days – Interview with Nicole Skoberla from VOLLMER WERKE first appeared on LineUpr Blog.

Reading time: 3 minutes

When you
ask employees in start-ups what the most significant difference to large
corporations is, the processing speed and the decision-making processes are
usually mentioned. While young companies are mostly on the move like speed
boats, large corporations can be described as the tankers on the world’s
oceans. But both have in common that they want to have a fast time to market.
Zühlke supports all companies from start-up to large corporation in realizing
their vision – from the idea to the market success, and this is where our
interview partner comes in.

Romano Roth
is a Distinguished Consultant at Zühlke Engineering and he supports his
customers in turning their vision into reality. Romano rightly calls himself a
DevOps enthusiast. He wants to break up old processes and make them usable for
agile teams. This also applies to Zühlke’s events. That is why Romano does not
use paper for this, but only digital channels. One of them is our event app. In
this interview, Romano tells us why they use LineUpr, what he still misses from
our solution, and how the participants used the app. Have fun while reading.

LineUpr: Hello Romano. Thank you for taking the time to
do this interview. Please introduce yourself and the Zühlke Engineering.

Romano: My name is Romano Roth and I’m a Distinguished
Consultant at Zühlke. I’m a DevOps enthusiast. My passion is helping companies
bringing people, processes and technology together so that they can deliver
continuously value to their customers.

Zühlke
supports companies in realizing their vision – from the idea to the market
success. Our promise: As a strong solution partner, we contribute our many
years of experience and cross-sector expertise and take responsibility for the
success of the project. With over 1.000 employees we are present with local
teams in Switzerland, Germany, Great Britain, Singapore, Hong Kong, Austria,
Serbia and Bulgaria.

LineUpr: You used an event app from LineUpr for your
Client Technology Days. Please tell us more about this event.

Romano: Both the Zühlke DevOps Days and Client Technology Days are internal conferences from Zühlke employees and for Zühlke employees. The main target of these conferences is to share our knowledge across the company and the different locations. Each conference was a two-day conference with 100 participants each. On the first day we had a day filled with 21 session in 3 parallel tracks. On the second day we had 2 parallel full-day workshops.

LineUpr: Do you also use printed products to market the
event or to distribute information on-site? If so, which and why?

Romano: No. In this case we focused on digital
channels.

LineUpr: What added value does an event app offer you?

Romano: With LineUpr we are able to easily create a schedule for these two events.

LineUpr is easy to use as administrator and as a user.

LineUpr: Did you present your speakers with individual
profiles in the event app?

Romano: Yes. Every presenter had a picture and a short
biography.

LineUpr: How do you rate the creation of the event app
with LineUpr? What did you like and what can we improve?

Romano: LineUpr is easy to use as administrator and as a user. But there is also some room for improvements. For example: Multiple user / administration accounts, Change email of administrator, Speakers should be able to create surveys, QR code for surveys, Speakers should see their feedback or better exports, Session schedule grouped by rooms, Better UI for creating the schedule so that we can see the overlaps, Email to speaker, Support of a view for desktops and integrated statistics of the app usage.

The visitors liked the app.

LineUpr: Wow, that is quite a list. Did you point out
the (use of the) event app during the event?

Romano: No. We informed our attendees before the event
about the app.

LineUpr: Did you also use the survey features?

Romano: In one of the sessions we asked if the
audience has already used web components in a project. After the event we used
the survey for rating the event and state what was good and what can be
improved.

LineUpr: How did your visitors react to the app?

Romano: The visitors liked the app. They missed a
desktop version and a view which was grouped by rooms.

LineUpr: The event is now over. Would you use the app
the same way at the next event to communicate with your participants, or would
you change something?

Romano: Yes definitely. This year we will combine the
DevOps Days and the Client Technology Days into one big conference: The Zühlke
Technology Days. It is already decided that we will use LineUpr for the event
schedule.

LineUpr: Thank you for the great interview Romano. I
think it’s great that you have set the events exclusively on digital channels.
Unfortunately, I still see too often that even for small events pointless paper
is used for the agenda, etc. However, participants want to have the information
on their smartphones or in their email accounts.

Keyword digital. Of course, Zühlke Engineering is also on the move in the online world. A visit is always worthwhile.

We are
already looking forward to the next events with you.

The post LineUpr in Action at Zühlke Engineering – An Interview with Romano Roth first appeared on LineUpr Blog.

Reading time: 5 minutes

As soon as
a company starts to grow or a process becomes more complex, precise
documentation is essential. I know from my own experiences that this is often
time-consuming in the beginning. However, it can save a lot of valuable time
later because you canoptimize processes significantly by creating
documentation. After all, you can identify inefficient tasks quickly and
immediately replace them. To make documentation even faster, synetics GmbH has
developed the “i-doit” software.

To further
support customers with the documentation and use of their software, synetics
also organizes a user conference. This year under the motto “next.i-doit”. With
an event app from LineUpr, of course. We will talk to Fabian Wolff about how he
used LineUpr, what the advantages and disadvantages of paper are, and what he
would do differently the next time he uses LineUpr. Really worth
reading.

LineUpr: Hello, Fabian. Thank you for taking the time
to do this interview. Please introduce yourself and the synetics Corporation
for System Integration.

Fabian: My name is Fabian Wolff and I work in the
marketing department at synetics GmbH, a software manufacturer from Düsseldorf.
With the “i-doit” software, synetics is one of the leading companies in the
field of IT documentation. The entire IT landscape can be clearly and centrally
documented with i-doit.

LineUpr: You have used LineUpr for the i-doit user
conference. Please tell us more about this event.

Fabian: This year’s user conference premiered under
the motto “next.i-doit” and showed how companies will manage IT documentation
in the future. Shared economy and innovations such as AI and AR technologies
formed the basis. Using ITIL 4’s practical approach, the networking of ITSM
applications was promoted through smart-integrated processes. Development
partners and those who want to become one could also visit the developer
conference to get practical tips and tricks from our software developers.

LineUpr: Who is the target group for this event, and
which strategies and tools do you use to address this target group? Do you
attach particular importance to something special?

Fabian: We aim the i-doit user conference at our
customers and IT managers who wanted to deal more closely with the topic of IT
documentation. We built a landing page for the event. Here, anyone who was
interested could inform themselves about the event and sign up for it. We
pursued a multichannel strategy for the i-doit user conference. We have several
different communication channels such as Google Ads, our newsletters, and
social media channels to reach potentially interested parties. The event
was a total success!

LineUpr: If you compare a printed program with an event
app, what are the advantages and disadvantages of both variants?

Fabian: A printed program booklet has the advantage that some participants prefer a physical product, such as a program booklet. Additionally, everyone can use a program booklet. The disadvantage is the poor environmental friendliness. Since a program booklet has a minimum order number to be printed and may need to be delivered, the CO2 burden is much higher than with an event app. Additionally, short-term program changes can be made in the app, which is not possible with a program booklet. Besides, we can integrate participants interactively in the app with surveys and polls.

We verbally referred to the event app during the individual workshops and lectures.

LineUpr: Have you used event apps in the past?

Fabian: We didn’t use an event app before the i-doit
user conference because we didn’t actively inform ourselves about this option.

LineUpr: Did you also display your sponsors and
partners with their own profiles in the app?

Fabian: Yes, we represented our sponsors and partners with their profiles. We highlighted these with the help of different colors as partners and premium partners. We also used information such as company name, short description, logo, and a link to the partner website.

I would use the app exactly the same way for the next event.

LineUpr: Did you point out the (use of the) event app
during the event?

Fabian: We verbally referred to the event app during
the individual workshops and lectures. We also distributed a printed agenda,
which also contained a QR code.

LineUpr: How often have you personally seen
and used an event app at an event in the last year?

Fabian: Personally, I have never seen or
used an event app at an event.

LineUpr: Now that the event is over. Would you use the
app the same way at the next event to communicate with your participants, or is
there something that would you change?

Fabian: I would use the app exactly the same way for
the next event. The only thing I would also communicate would be that the
function of individual program points/lectures in the app can also be
evaluated.

LineUpr: Which top three tips for using LineUpr would
you like to share with other organizers?

Fabian: 1. Use the survey function in the app. This
way, users can conveniently rate the event from their smartphone at any time.

2. Use
posts to send direct messages to participants.

3. Assign a
photo to each person and ensure that at least the person’s email address is
stored – this makes it easier for networking.

LineUpr: Thank you for the great interview Fabian. I
see you have fully exploited the possibilities of the app. That’s great. With
the IT background, of course, that also fits perfectly to the event.

If IT documentation is also an issue for you and your company, then visit the synetics website. You can find a lot of information about i-doit here.
Without
shipping agencies and logistics companies, the life we know today would not be
possible. Every day we order things that sometimes travel halfway around the
world before they get to us.

Judith Moser works at the Association of Swiss Shipping Agencies and Logistics Companies (SPEDLOGSWISS). Because networking and new contacts are also essential in this area, SPEDLOGSWISS regularly organizes events to bring their members into contact. The Custom Compliance Day is one such event for which Judith first used an event app from LineUpr in 2018. In this interview, she tells us more about it. Have fun while reading.

LineUpr: Hello, Judith. Thank you for taking the time
to do this interview. Please introduce yourself and the SPEDLOGSWISS.

Judith: I am Judith Moser and responsible for public
relations at SPEDLOGSWISS, the association of Swiss shipping agencies and
logistics companies.

LineUpr: What role do events play for you?

Judith: Events play a significant role for us as they
also have the function of networking. We have annually recurring events,
including the General Meeting. But we also have ad-hoc events.

LineUpr: You used LineUpr for the Custom Compliance
Day. What kind of event is this and which target group do you address?

Judith: The event took place on March 28, 2019, in Olten and was designed as a conference (customs) exclusively for our member companies. The event was a total success.

LineUpr: Do you also use printed products for marketing the event or distributing information on-site? If so, which and why?

Judith: We have different printed products, for example, the annual report SPEDLOGSWISS and our popular member magazine SPEDLOGSWISS Info, which is published three times a year.

… it was generally, and approvingly acknowledged that we are “going with the times”.

LineUpr: What was the decisive argument for
you to use an event app?

Judith: As an event participant in external events, we noticed that event apps are trendy. We used an event app for the first time at our specialist event the Customs Compliance Day and had good experiences. However, we have also found that the participants still like to have a handout, so something physical. We will continue to observe the demand for an event app and how we can use it next time.

LineUpr: When and how do you inform the event
participants about the event app?

Judith: Usually, we provide information to the appropriate addressee via email (various target group distributors).

Besides, we realized that you should not wholly abandon paper, especially if it is the first time implementing an event app.

LineUpr: How did your visitors react to the app?

Judith: We did not receive any explicit feedback about the event app, but it was generally, and approvingly acknowledged that we are “going with the times”.

LineUpr: What top tips would you like to give other
organizers for using LineUpr?

Judith: Get to grips with the platform before creating
the event app. What is possible, what do you want to achieve with the app?
Which target group would you like to address? Only when these questions are
clarified, should you start with the creation of the app. Besides, we realized
that you should not completely abandon paper, especially if it is the first
time implementing an event app. All
information should also be available in a printed form.

LineUpr: Thank you, Judith, for the interview. We can
recognize your focus on the essentials and this makes your events exciting.
Thank you for giving us a little insight into it.

You can find many more stories about SPEDLOGSWISS here.

E-mails are still one of the most effective tools for communicating with customers. Few people can judge that better than Diana Falke. As an essential part of the mailingwork GmbH, she is an expert in all topics surrounding e-mails. She is also the co-organizer of the E-mail Practice Day.

In this blog, she lets you share her experiences of addressing potential event participants and her experiences of using an event app to engage with the participants. Have fun. ?

LineUpr: Hello Diana. Thank you for taking the time to do this interview. Please introduce yourself and the mailingwork GmbH.

Diana: HelloHi Eric. mailingwork is both the name for an email marketing software as well as for the company that develops. Our team now has close to 50 members and I support mailingwork in the area of marketing and sales. Our business is the digital customer dialogue. We provide strategic and practical advice to our medium and enterprise customers on personalized newsletters, e-mail campaigns, marketing automation, and lead management.

LineUpr: You organize the E-Mail Practice Day once a year. Tell us more about this event. Who is the typical target group of this event and what unique added value can the participants expect?

Diana: Email Practice Day is the marketing event when it comes to mailings. Here, marketing professionals, brands and agencies get exclusive know-how. They learn how to use e-mail marketing to push their own business profitably. According to individual interests we offer two formats: The E-Mail Practice Day Conference, which is filled to the brim with best cases and insights from top speakers. And the E-Mail Practice Day Workshops, which are deep dives in special interest themes and help marketers to achieve their goals.

LineUpr: How do you reach this target group? What channels and tools do you use for marketing and presentation?

Diana: The most important hub for marketing is the event website. This is where we direct all the leads that we reach mainly via e-mail and newsletter. In addition, we use the possibilities of Xing Events professionally and rely on social media, for example Facebook ads. Equally important is personal contact. The personal contact is at least as important. We speak to our customers directly on the phone about the conference and also take flyers with us. Essential basic tools for the acquisition are our CRM and of course the mailingwork software.

LineUpr: Do you also use printed products to market the event or distribute information locally? If so, which and why?

Diana: Definitely! We print flyers that we take with us to appointments with customers or to events. On the one hand, we can start a good conversation with them and, on the other hand, a flyer is more present at the workplace than, for example, a link in an e-mail. What we no longer do is a printed version of the conference day programme. But we have on-site monitors, your app and a moderator who leads the guests.

LineUpr: You used LineUpr for the first time. How did you find out about us and what was the decisive argument for you to use an event app?

To us, it is essential to be in contact with the audience.

Diana: We wanted to use an event app for the Email Practice Day. First and foremost, to interact with the audience and to provide quick polls. This makes the programme more lively. We then discovered LineUpr during our web research.

LineUpr: Have you already used event apps? If so, what are your experiences so far? If not, what was against you using an event app?

Diana: To us, it’s essential to be in contact with the audience. From experience, we know that sometimes it’s hard to get direct feedback from the audience. The idea was to use an app for the first time in the hope of strengthening the interaction. And that worked!

LineUpr: How did you use the app before, during and after the Email Practice Day?

Diana: We communicated a few weeks in advance, for example in the newsletter and the registration confirmation, that there will be an event app and what will be possible with it. Among other things, we pictured hotel recommendations or information about the Get-Together. On the conference day itself, the moderator pointed out the app right at the beginning and presented it briefly. In essence, the programme was loaded and questions were asked about it.

LineUpr: How did your visitors react to the app?

Diana: Our guests were thrilled – very clearly! The exchange between the speakers and the audience was excellent. Our intention was correct: Many people find it easier to ask questions via an app instead of talking in front of a large audience. We also got a lot of great feedback about the app in our survey. There were quotes like “super practical and simply structured”. There is a strong desire to continue using the app as we did this time.

LineUpr: Is there a special story about the E-Mail Practice Day that you would like to share with us?

Diana: In the four years that E-Mail Practice Day now exists, we have had many funny, unique and yes, even speechless moments. A guest did not want to miss the event or his wedding day and brought his wife with him.

LineUpr: Which top three tips would you like to give other organizers when using LineUpr?

Diana: Tip 1: You should get all the speakers in the same boat at an early stage, so they can prepare to work with Quick Polls. Tip 2: It’s good to present the app live. Tip 3: Do not overload the app, instead keep it short and concise.

LineUpr: Thank you, Diana, for the refreshing interview. It is always great to get an insight into the everyday life of organizers. And that’s even truer when it comes to such a special event. More information about mailingwork is available on their homepage and their blog.

We look forward to your next events and to how we can support them with LineUpr.

Reading time: 6 minutes

Today, everything revolves around creativity. And who could do better than Tobias Theel? As the head of Innoversität, he supports companies every day to improve employees’ creativity and to make the decision-making processes more agile.

Digital processes and systems play a critical role here. Of course, an event app fits in perfectly. Tobias will now tell us why he chose LineUpr and how the participants responded.

LineUpr: Hello Tobias. Thank you for taking the time to do this interview. Please introduce yourself and Innoversität. What are your goals and what role do events play?

Tobias: Innoversität helps people and organizations to become more creative, creative and agile. Consequently, they are able to better develop new ideas and put them into practice quickly and successfully.

On the one hand, we like to support our customers online, for example with courses and coaching on innovation methods like Design Thinking or Lean Startup. This allows us to respond flexibly to the needs of individual employees. However, our customers also know that the best results can only be achieved with tangible experiences. And for these experiences, we design and develop events together with our customers: innovation kick-offs, innovation marathons with up to 12 months duration or design sprints ranging from a few hours to a few days – also with large groups of up to 300 people.

Of course, for such big events, we need proper planning and a direct line to the participants so that they always know exactly what to expect at a specific time during and shortly before the event.

… who wants to be innovative, also has to live with side effects.

LineUpr: How much time and work do you spend on planning such events on average?

Tobias: It all depends on the size of the event or the expectations of our customers. Some customers know pretty well what they want. Then setting up an agenda and defining and distributing the tasks for the preparation and carrying out of the event happen in no time. Some customers, on the other hand, aren‘t familiar with the subject of innovation yet, so we need to help them a little bit more with preparation and implementation.

That’s fine because who wants to be innovative, also has to live with the side effects. These effects can only be seen after you’ve taken the first steps. Then sometimes our customers are a bit confused and insecure. But we know exactly how to handle this. We support our customers with the right measures and tips when they need us.

An example: within four weeks we organized an event for 120 participants together with a transport company and got it on its feet. In between, we still had to convince their board of directors and the top management team. The event organization team consisted of 5 people from both our company and from the customer’s side – and one day before the event, we even took over the role of the internal presenter, because she got sick. We can organize one-day workshops almost one day after commissioning if a room and work materials are available in the company.

LineUpr: Who is the typical target audience of your events and how do you reach them? What channels and tools do you use for marketing and presentation?

Tobias: Our events are often specifically commissioned by companies for their employees. They choose large events for all employees, who should then contribute their ideas to the company and also implement them. Smaller events are more like workshops or seminars for project groups or executives and board members. Managers also want to understand how innovation, creativity and agility work, and what framework conditions they need to set for their organization to successfully create new ideas. Many companies find us on LinkedIn or through a Google search that takes them to our homepage.

LineUpr: Do you also use printed products at the events? If so, which and why?

Tobias: Creativity unfolds best through interaction with other people, i. e., in groups. People have to exchange ideas and let their ideas grow. Also being able to move around is essential.

That’s why we build experiences through our events directly on-site, as well as through the marketing of our offers. With the Innovation Box, we have developed a kit that allows each person to create and work out their idea alone or even better as a team. Our box contains all the necessary materials and methods that make creativity and innovation child’s play – whether for your business idea or a new idea in the company of your employer.

We wanted to mostly refrain from e-mails and event folders because after all, each participant has a smartphone.

LineUpr: You have now used LineUpr for the culture4growth event. How did you become aware of LineUpr and what was the decisive argument for you to use an event app?

Tobias: Our customers wanted to have the corporate culture actively and specifically designed and further developed by the employees. For this purpose, together with the Human Resources Department, we designed and conducted an event for 120 participants. It was important for us that the participants had a contemporary digital experience for the event – both before and during the performance. We wanted to mostly refrain from e-mails and event folders because after all, every participant has a smartphone.

After comparing several providers for event apps, LineUpr seemed to convince us the most – and we were delighted with it. The participants had all the information at hand at all times before the event, and they were also able to use the app to orientate themselves during the event according to the programme and also on-site. In addition, the event app kept us flexible: our changes were quickly incorporated shortly before the event and we were able to inform the participants directly via push messages. The flexibility and the direct line to the users of the app were unbeatable plus points.

LineUpr: Great that you are satisfied. Have you ever used event apps in the past? If so, what are your experiences?

Tobias: Previously, we did not use event apps during the entire event. However, for individual purposes, for example, surveys, we already had apps in use. Some solutions did not seem appropriate for our purposes because some features were simply missing or too complicated – until we found LineUpr. Everything was just right for us. The adaptation of the design to the corporate identity of our customer is an especially great feature. We have been able to create a harmonious experience for the participants from start to finish.

We sent the work instructions directly as push messages via the app to the participants.

LineUpr: How did you use the app before, during and after the event?

Tobias: The participants of our event received an e-mail with the link to the app a few days before the event. So they could inform themselves about the agenda and the speakers in advance. During the event, we also published the location plans on site. During the event, we divided the participants into groups and sent them to individual rooms. So that we could continue to communicate with them, we were connected to them through microphone and speakers because they could no longer see our moderators all the time. We sent the work instructions directly to the participants as push messages via the app. That worked great. So they could stay with their group in their rooms and we did not always have to send them back and forth.

LineUpr: How did your participants react to the app?

Tobias: The app inspired the participants of our event. Their employer had invited them to the event because the company wanted to become more innovative. An app was the right sign that the board was serious about their announcement. I had the impression that the motivation of the participants was a bit higher because of this.

The participants also liked the fact that we had published the names of all the participants who attended the event in the app. So they could network better. Ultimately, the app has once again imparted a more professional look and feel to our event – and that brought many praises and very positive feedback for our event.

The app inspired the participants of our event.

LineUpr: Thank you, Tobias, for the fascinating interview. I think we all got terrific insights into your work and the promotion of creativity.
